Introduce a Song a Day by Frenchy and the Punk

The following was a facebook post from my friends Frenchy and the Punk.  I couldn't find any way to link to that post, so I'm copying it here to show you what lovely things they are offering:

July 30 Day 11 of our "introduce a song a day" from the 'Hey Hey Cabaret' CD
Track 11 'Make It Happen'
Flapper Punk! This is one of the songs Scott likes to call his Django meets Johnny rhythm, as in Reinhardt and Ramone, two of his guitar inspirations. On a summer's day in 2011, I sat outside with paper and pencil in hand to begin working on lyric ideas for a song we were asked to write for a possible media placement. Looking up at the forget-me-not sky there wasn't a cloud in sight. I had the thought "it's a cloudless sky" which then sparked the phrase, "why'd we let the rain chase our cloudless skies away" and the song flowed from that idea. Like our motif of the Batfrog it's about transformation and new beginnings. It's definitely a 'go for it' kind of song. Scott also did the bass and drums on this track. Scott's first instrument was bass guitar back when he played in punk bands in the '80s and '90s... his band Outpatients is mentioned in the 'American Hardcore' movie released in 2006 and his band Deep Wound is part of the soundtrack of All Ages-Boston Hardcore The Film that was just released this year.
Thanks for reading. Enjoy!
Although this is the last track on the CD, there was supposed to be a 12th track. So tomorrow, Day 12 will be missing track day!
